      Wow, that question is impossible for me to answer, I love many books and can’t really put a top 3 to it.
      But, I’ll try to explain which some of my favourite books and writers are;
      Two of my favourite writers in my native language, Dutch, are Ronald Giphart and Herman Brusselmans (the latter is from the Dutch speaking part in Belgium). These novelists write mostly about sex and their novels are usually very funny. I also enjoy reading work by a Dutch philosopher called Bas Haring.
      Some Irish writers I like are Joseph O’Connor (Star of the Sea is a brilliant book!) and Alan Monoghan (The Soldiers Song), but I also like some of the poetry by Yates and Heaney.
      These days though I prefer reading lighter material like science fiction (The Martian by Andy Weir for example), fantasy (the Wheel of Time series is brilliant) and historical fiction (Bernard Cornwell’s book series Sharpe and Last Kingdom).
